How Woohoo! seasons work
Woohoo! follows a seasonal training structure.
Instead of doing the same type of training all year round, each phase has a clear purpose.
Our programming evolves with the demands of the HYROX calendar:
When race season is at its busiest, training becomes more specific
When athletes are further away from key races, we focus more on building the engine and strength foundation underneath it
This keeps training relevant, progressive, and sustainable across the full year.
In-Season HYROX Performance Build
This is where we start. Because Woohoo! launches in the middle of a busy HYROX race period, the first training season is built around the demands athletes need most right now:
- Threshold work
- HYROX-specific conditioning
- Running under fatigue
- Race-relevant station combinations
- Strength work to support performance, not distract from it
The goal of this season is not to peak every athlete for one specific race.
The goal is to make you fitter, stronger, and more race-ready during the part of the year where HYROX performance matters most.
What happens after that
After this first in-season block, the programming rotates through different phases across the year. Every season builds on the previous one — and your training keeps moving forward with purpose.
In-Season Performance
Race-specific conditioning, threshold work, and station combinations. Strength supports performance.
Base Building
Expand aerobic capacity. Lay the cardiovascular and muscular endurance foundation for the seasons ahead.
Strength Phase
Improve force production and durability. Build the structural resilience that carries over into every HYROX station.
Pre-Race Build
Sharpen race-specific fitness. Everything narrows toward race-day readiness and performance peaks.
Each 12-week block feeds into the next — so you never start from scratch.
